The BSF is delighted to welcome prof. Giancarlo Cravotto for his talk "Recent advances and perspectives in green extraction processes".

We are joined by Giancarlo Cravotto, Full Professor of Organic Chemistry and vice-Director of the Department of Drug Science and Technology (former Director from 2007 to October 2018) at the University of Turin.

He is Editor-in-Chief of Processes (MDPI, Basel); Associate Editor of Frontiers in Chemical Engineering and co-Editor or Editorial board member of several journals. He is Scientific Board member of international Institutions such as l’UMR-ICSM in Marcoule (France) and the CIAL, CSIC-UAM in Madrid (Spain).

He is visiting scientist at the World-Class Research Center at the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Moscow, Russia.

His research activity is documented by over 480 scientific, peer-reviewed papers (H. Index 57, and over 14,000 citations by Scopus), 21 patents, 44 book chapters and 7 books as editor. Awards: Gold Badge 2012 (International Charitable Foundation) "For the contribution to World Science and International Scientific Collaboration". Scientific Research Award 2018 "Organic Chemistry for the Environment, Energy and Nanosciences" by the Italian Chemical Society (SCI – Organic Chemistry). International green extraction of natural products “GENP2018” Award "Innovation in Chemistry". Kurnakov gold/silver medal 2019 (Russian Academy of Science). Gold medal “E. Paternò” 2017-2020 by the Italian Chemical Society.
