Learn how a distillery and a brand were built from scratch around target flavour profiles for peated and unpeated Single Malts……with a wee dram of Rabbie Burns stirred-in for good measure.
This is the evening technical lecture that forms part of the Flavourist Training Course, and is open to all Society members.
||Professor David Thomson is Founder and Chairman of MMR Research Worldwide, the largest privately owned market research company in the World. He is also Managing Director of Annandale Distillery in the Scottish Borders which he and Teresa Church (his wife) bought as a derelict wreck and brought back into production in 2014. The couple also own The Globe Inn, Dumfries, Scotland, built in 1610 and famously known as Burns’ Howff because of its close association with Robert Burns, Scotland’s national bard. David has spent all of his career in Sensory and Consumer Science and holds the position of Visiting Professor at the University of Reading.
